We have a great year of adventure ahead of us! Our book travels will take us from war stories, to mysteries, and on exciting journeys. We will revisit some of our favorite authors: this will be our fourth Hannah read, our third Quinn, and our second Tóibín (a sequel of Brooklyn). A book that was nominated four times was finally chosen; perseverance does pay off for The Which Way Tree. We have a dual read, combining a classic, Huck Finn, with a top pick from this year, James. The newly chosen Pulitzer Prize winning novel, Night Watch is on our list. A wide range of ethnic and cultural groups will be discussed. We will end our new list (and next summer) exploring with Captain Cook in a nonfiction account of his final voyage.
November 24—The Women by Kristin Hannah
January 5—The Rose Code by Kate Quinn
February 2—The Lost Bookshop by Evie Woods
