Greening of the Church

The celebration of the birth of Jesus is a special time here at St. Matthews. And while we are waiting, we are also planning. Over the next weeks you will begin to see some additions in the nave and, as with many special events, there are last minute touches to complete the plan. You and your family are invited to share in this joyful time of preparation.
 
We will gather at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, December 20th
 
We will hang greens, decorate the tree, prepare and place candle poles with greens and bows, place Nativity sets and hang special accents. The children will also have special opportunities – placing a Nativity in the narthex and making ornaments to place on the tree. When finished, we will meet in the narthex for cider and you are invited to bring a small plate of cookies to share.
